Is Homosexuality Inherited?

Now that I've opened the discussion of inherited sin, some folks might say that homosexuality and transgenderism are innate traits which are on par with physical attributes. If this is true, does it mean that homosexual and transgendered people can still be Christians?

According to the Bible, sinful behaviours are wrong and steadfast persistence in such conduct is an abomination. Leviticus 18:22 (KJV) clearly states, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."

Some people might say that we're being choosy about the scriptures. They point out verses such as Leviticus 11:12 (KJV) which says, "Whatsoever hath no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an abomination unto you."

But aren't those folks being choosy themselves? There are six verses in the Bible about homosexuality but thousands about marriage. In fact, marriage is the standard upheld by all societies in the past, not just our western culture. Look at what Jesus himself, speaking to the religious leaders of his day, said about the matter in Matthew 19:5-6 (KJV) "And said, 'For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.'" This is a direct quote of Genesis 2:24.

By their own hypocritical selectivity of "clobber" scriptures, homosexual activists condemn themselves as being choosy as well as hypocritical.

I'll be writing more about the contradiction of the "homosexual Christian" in my next book called You Think You're Going to Heaven?

My thanks go to Voddie Baucham for inspiring me and informing all of us believers in Christ on this topic.
